Abstract

This paper discusses the extraction of power system harmonics using digital signal processing (DSP) techniques. Harmonics are integral multiples of a fundamental frequency and result from non-linear electrical loads, affecting voltage and current waveforms. The study explores how harmonics are periodic and how DSP methods are applied to analyze and mitigate their impact on power systems. The importance of understanding harmonic behavior for maintaining power quality is emphasized.
