Abstract

In times of an instable world, social change becomes a necessity and not a luxury business. To bring this social change through initiatives, entrepreneurial culture questions such as why, when, and how need to be embedded in the culture in order to discover and exploit opportunities effectively. Therefore, this paper reviews the work of Steyaert and Hjorth (2006) that calls for creating waves of social change through entrepreneurship. The review studies all the frameworks that are presented by the authors of the book, and compares them to the initiative of Socioeconomic Institute for Advanced Studies (SIAS) in Rwanda that targets to create new waves of socioeconomic change that help to re-develop the lost harmony in the world.
